It’s just over 25 years since Derek and Susan Eaton bought the combination of Lighthouse Post Office and the adjacent premises of Woolcrafts in Fleetwood, Lancashire. This heralded the start of one of the most prestigious and important businesses not only in its home town, but later the whole of the north west.

The couple soon realised that their thriving post office had a natural bedfellow in the form of stationery requisites – initially in the provision of envelopes, parcel tape and wrapping paper, and later in a full complement of stationery supplies.

Thus the concept of Lighthouse Stationery was born and has continued to serve its ever expanding customer base with quality products and unrivalled customer care ever since.

Julie Thompson joined Derek on the stationery side of the business some 14 years ago and their combined knowledge is second-to-none, offering customers a first class service, sourcing any available product which – if it’s not in stock – can usually be delivered the very next day.

Stationery technology working for you

The premises benefited from a complete refit in the mid-90s, enabling a more controlled and purpose-built operation to be effected. This move helped keep Lighthouse at the cutting edge of developing technology, as evinced by the shop's 2004 evolution into a Canon Colour Copy Centre. This status provides Derek and Julie with access to state-of-the-art colour photocopying and printing equipment, and gives customers a wide range of printing options that truly make the most of their photos.

It's fair to say, then, that Lighthouse Stationery is as essential a part of Fleetwood's landscape as its namesake. So why not get in touch or pay the team a visit? There's more to Lighthouse Stationery than you'll realise.
